Fresh insights have emerged in the ongoing probe into the tragic demise of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar. On July 8th, her lifeless form was uncovered within the confines of an apartment in Ittehad Commercial, Defence, after a court bailiff, responding to a landlord's grievance over unpaid rent, forcibly gained entry into the premises.
The police scrutinizing this sorrowful case have unearthed pivotal information. Documents retrieved from her abode indicate that utility bills and rent had been diligently settled up until May 2024, casting doubts on the landlord's initial claims. Intriguingly, remnants of freshly laundered clothing, discovered both in a bathroom tub and adjacent to a laundry area, suggest that Humaira might have tended to her laundry shortly before meeting her untimely fate.
Her body was found in a chamber contiguous to the bedroom, with the balcony door of that room ajar, as authorities revealed. The apartment's main entrance was securely locked from within, secured with a double lock, adding another layer of mystery to the circumstances surrounding her death.
Investigators noted that neighbors had complained of a pungent odor emanating from the apartment as far back as December 2024, while forensic experts postulate that Humaira Asghar likely passed away sometime around October 7th, 2024. "The definitive cause of her demise will be ascertained following a comprehensive chemical analysis and medical examination," authorities asserted.
On the day suspected to be her final one, Humaira had reached out to an astonishing 14 individuals via her mobile phone. Authorities retrieved three mobile phones, a tablet, a diary, and an assortment of documents from her residence. It came to light that the actress had three active SIM cards registered under her name, all functional in the retrieved devices. Notably, two out of the three phones lacked password protection.
A digital forensic examination of her phones uncovered an extensive list of over 2,000 saved contacts. Furthermore, there was consistent communication evidence with at least 75 different phone numbers spanning an extended period, officials added. These findings paint a picture of an individual deeply embedded in a vast web of interpersonal connections, further complicating the narrative of her tragic end.
