Jane Krakowski will assume the starring role in "Oh, Mary!" this upcoming winter, breathing fresh life into the character of Mary Todd Lincoln. From October 14th onward, the esteemed "30 Rock" actress will embark on an eight-week journey in Broadway's spotlight. Jinkx Monsoon, who has been captivating audiences with her portrayal, will conclude her tenure on September 28th. In the interim, from September 30th to October 12th, Hannah Solow, a dedicated understudy who has been with the production since its Off-Broadway inception, will step into the titular role.
The character of Mary Todd Lincoln was first brought to life by Cole Escola, who garnered a Tony Award for their mesmerizing depiction and also penned the play. Since then, various actors, including Tituss Burgess and Betty Gilpin, have donned the iconic role.
Krakowski returns to the Broadway stage after her Tony-nominated turn in the 2016 revival of "She Loves Me." She has previously been honored with a Tony Award for her portrayal of Carla in the Broadway revival of "Nine," and received a Tony nomination for "Grand Hotel." Her extensive Broadway credits also include "Company," "Once Upon a Mattress," "Tartuffe," and "Starlight Express." Additionally, she won an Olivier Award for her performance in "Guys and Dolls" in the West End.

Directed by Sam Pinkleton, who claimed a Tony for his directorial prowess, "Oh, Mary!" premiered on Broadway on July 11th, 2024. The show has shattered its own box office records twelve times and became the pioneer of the 2024-25 Broadway season to recoup its investments. Tickets for the play are now available through July 5th, 2026, promising an unforgettable theatrical experience for years to come.
