Jay-Z Accuses Man Claiming to Be His Son of "Decades Long Harassment"

Jay-Z is striking back in court with vigor. According to a recent court filing obtained by E! News, the renowned rapper, whose given name is Shawn Corey Carter, has leveled accusations against Rymir Satterthwaite, along with Rymir's godmother and guardian, Lillie Coley. They are accused of relentless harassment spanning years, centered around the assertion that Rymir is Jay-Z's son.

In the court documents submitted on June 16th, Jay-Z fiercely lambasted a recent lawsuit filed against him by Rymir, 32, and Lillie, branding it as merely "the latest chapter" in what he describes as "a decades-long campaign of harassment." The documents further state, "The fabricated allegations and claims have already been addressed and rejected by numerous courts, and the plaintiff's persistent harassment of the defendant, coupled with disregard for court orders, has culminated in a contempt ruling."

The filing requests additional time from the judge for Jay-Z to respond to the lawsuit, contending that despite its filing on May 6th, the suit was "improperly served," and Jay-Z only became aware of its existence on June 3rd. Consequently, his legal team has sought an additional four weeks to "thoroughly evaluate the Complaint and determine an appropriate course of action or plea."

Moreover, the court documents claim that Jay-Z's legal team attempted to call Lillie to request more time to respond, but she abruptly hung up on them.

Meanwhile, Rymir's lawsuit alleges that Jay-Z, who shares Blue Ivy, 13, and eight-year-old twins Rumi and Sir with his wife Beyoncé, is his biological father. The suit recounts, "What began in the mid-1990s, as the defendant's music career skyrocketed to fame, swiftly transformed into a relentless effort to bury the truth: that he fathered a child with a 16-year-old girl, Wanda Satterthwaite, who has since passed away."

Furthermore, the lawsuit asserts that Jay-Z has "neither affirmatively acknowledged nor legally denied his parental relationship with Rymir." Rymir contends that over the years, the rapper's "agents, accomplices, and even certain public officials" have engaged in "fraudulent schemes," including alleged manipulation of judicial proceedings, "to obstruct justice and shield a powerful celebrity from the repercussions of his actions."

Rymir accuses Jay-Z and his "co-conspirators" of fraud, misrepresentation of facts, interference with procedural due process, and exploitation of legal systems across multiple jurisdictions, "all aimed at suppressing Rymir's paternity claim and evading legal accountability." His current legal action invokes prior lawsuits that have been dismissed by the courts.

Additionally, the suit alleges that Jay-Z has "consistently refused to undergo court-ordered paternity testing." Rymir is not seeking retroactive child support in his lawsuit; instead, he is seeking general and compensatory damages for emotional distress, reputational harm, and loss of financial support, as well as "reasonable legal expenses and costs." He is also demanding a jury trial.
