During their meeting at the 2026 Golden Globes Awards, Jennifer Lawrence offered a project to Ariana Grande. In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight at the ceremony, Grande addressed a rumor that she would be starring in the upcoming Miss Piggy film. She said, "I am open to it! I am a big fan of The Muppets." Lawrence later confirmed that the rumor was not true, but she did offer Grande a role in the film, which is about the Muppets diva. Lawrence is co-producing the film alongside her friend Emma Stone.

Speaking about Ariana at the Golden Globes, Lawrence gushed, "If she wants to be in the movie, I would love for her to be in it! Please be in Miss Piggy!" The film was announced in November, and Lawrence and Stone may also star in it.
"We have to… It’s messed up [that we haven’t done a movie together]," said Oscar winner Lawrence. However, both Lawrence and Grande have stated that they will not be playing Miss Piggy.
Meanwhile, Grande was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes. Despite receiving critical acclaim for her role in Die My Love, Lawrence did not receive a nomination for her performance in the film.
