As the film captures several unforgettable moments, one particularly intriguing scene showcases Hawke addressing director Shawn Levy with a thought-provoking query. In the context of the scene, Robin Buckley (Hawke), Vickie (Amybeth McNulty), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) are attempting to evade the relentless demodogs hunting Max in the laundry room.

While filming this sequence, Hawke pointed out that her character's relationship status remained unclear to the audience. Referring to the secret romance between Robin and Vickie, the 27-year-old actress and singer-songwriter candidly stated, "I have a question. It hasn't been explicitly addressed in any of the scenes we've shared together – no one is aware that we're dating, including Caleb."

Hawke then added with a playful tone, "And I would like to convey this scene in a whisper – I would like to do this," as she leaned in closer to McNulty, enhancing the intimacy of the moment.

It's worth noting that Levy, the 57-year-old Canadian-American filmmaker and actor, didn't explicitly acknowledge the oversight that Hawke had identified; however, he did commend her suggestion as "good."
