This is a stark contrast to the old reports that surfaced in 1998, which claimed that Lopez had taken a dig at Paltrow while the latter was dating Brad Pitt.
The tension between the two became a topic of discussion in 1998, when Lopez, in an interview with Movieline magazine, criticized Paltrow for being more popular for her relationships than her career. "Tell me what she's been in? I swear to God, I don't remember anything she was in. Some people get hot by association. I heard more about her and Brad Pitt than I ever heard about her work," Lopez said.
