During her July 16th concert in Bilbao, Spain, the enchanting singer of "On the Floor" candidly addressed the possibility of tying the knot for a fifth time, as captured in a fan video circulated on X. Holding up a sign with a marriage proposal written on it, Jennifer boldly declared to the enthralled crowd, "I think I’m done with that. I’ve tried that a few times."
Jennifer, now 55, has walked down the aisle multiple times before. She was married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998 and Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003. She also shares 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, whom she divorced in 2014 after a decade together. Her marriage to Ben was just another chapter in her romantic journey.
However, Jennifer's reluctance towards legal unions doesn't imply any animosity towards Ben. The couple divorced in August 2024, following a two-year marriage. In fact, Jennifer has opened up about the reasons behind their split in an October 2024 Interview magazine profile. She insightfully shared, "You have to be complete if you want something that’s even more complete. You have to be good on your own. I thought I learned that, but I didn’t. This summer, I realized, ‘I need to go off and be on my own. I want to prove to myself that I can do that.’"
Emphasizing that relationships shouldn't define one's identity, the Hustlers actress continued, "I can’t seek happiness in other people. I must cultivate it within myself."
Moreover, her marital journeys have brought about other valuable lessons, particularly strengthening her bond with her children. Having Max and Emme by her side during her breakup with Ben actually fortified their family unit. "I’m proud of myself for that," Jennifer expressed in an interview with El Pais published on May 2.
