Jennifer Lopez is a master of making grand entrances. As she opened the American Music Awards on Monday night, the Grammy Award-winner not only managed to squeeze in a whopping 23 songs into six minutes but also left her fans utterly mesmerized by sharing passionate kisses with a select few of her backup dancers. Mid-performance, Lopez grooved to Teddy Swims' "Lose Control," surrounded by her entourage of dancers. In a captivating moment, she planted a kiss on a male dancer before locking lips with a female dancer, sending shockwaves across the internet. Fox News Digital sought comment from Lopez's spokesperson regarding the steamy performance.

One fan enthused on Instagram, "This performance will be etched in my mind forever! SOOOOO GOOD!" Another fan added, "She kicked off the night with a bang and never looked back. That radiant glow, that electric energy, that magnetic presence – she's in a league of her own!" However, not everyone was as impressed. One viewer commented on Instagram, "She's vulgar," while another wrote, "I thought the choreography was satirical. Cringe."

Celebrities in attendance were equally stunned. Tiffany Haddish exclaimed to the audience after Lopez's performance, "How cool is it to have a total superstar like J.Lo hosting the AMAs? Our host just danced to 23 hits in six minutes. With just that opening number, Jenny from the Block has already danced her heart out and kissed her fill for the day." She joked, "Save a dancer for me, J.Lo. Damn! You're not the only single one here!"

This PDA-laden moment occurred months after Lopez and Ben Affleck finalized their divorce. They were married for two years before Lopez filed for divorce on August 20 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, marking the two-year anniversary of their Georgia wedding. Before her divorce was finalized, Lopez opened up about her willingness to "embrace" life's lessons.

In an interview with British Vogue, the musician shared, "I overcome things not by seeing them as happening to me but as happening for me. What lesson do I need to learn from this moment?" She continued, "When I think of things in that way and maintain a positive mindset, it's easier to embrace it as a lesson. Because that's really what our hardships in life are about. What am I supposed to learn here? There are no coincidences. This is happening for a reason. What can I learn, and how can I emerge stronger, wiser, and evolved from this experience?"

The mother of two previously revealed that she had no regrets about giving her ex a second chance. Affleck, 52, and the "Let's Get Loud" singer famously reignited their romance after 17 years apart in 2021 before eventually calling it quits. Lopez noted in a conversation with Nikki Glaser for Interview magazine, "That doesn't mean it didn't almost break me. It almost did. But now, looking back, I realize, 'F---, that was exactly what I needed. Thank you, God. I'm sorry it took me so long to understand. You had to hit me over the head with a sledgehammer. You dropped the house on me. You don't have to do it again.'"

Following her electric performance at the American Music Awards, Lopez announced her return to Las Vegas with a new residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Her show, titled "Jennifer Lopez: Up All Night Live in Las Vegas," will kick off with four shows during the week of New Year's Eve, followed by an additional eight performances in March 2026.
