One could truly say that Jim Carrey's heart swelled to an unprecedented size at the 2026 Cesar Awards. The beloved star of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" was accompanied by his loved ones at the prestigious French film award ceremony on February 26th, including his "companion" Min Ah, as well as his daughter Jane Erin Carrey and her teenage son Jackson. As he accepted an award recognizing his storied career, Jim spoke in French, expressing his deep gratitude and love for his family. "Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson," he said, "I love you now and forever."
The 64-year-old actor continued, "Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah. I love you, Min Ah. And finally, thank you to the funniest man I have ever known: my father Percy Joseph Carrey, who taught me the value of love, generosity, and laughter."
Jim's love life has been a bit of a rollercoaster in recent years. He was previously married to Melissa Womer from 1987 to 1995, during which time they welcomed Jane. He was briefly wed to his "Dumb and Dumber" co-star Lauren Holly, before dating Renée Zellweger and Jenny McCarthy in the 2000s. In the 2010s, Jim dated makeup artist Cathriona White, who tragically passed away in 2015 at the age of 30 from a prescription drug overdose, and She Hulk actress Ginger Gonzaga.
Despite being private about his love life in recent years, Jim has been open about his lack of interest in remarriage after two failed marriages.
