On Valentine's Day (February 14th), the esteemed celebrity, who had recently celebrated her landmark 30th birthday, gracefully unveiled her eagerly anticipated debut solo mini-album, aptly titled "AMORTAGE." This four-track musical gem includes the enchanting songs "Earthquake," "Your Love," "Tears," and "Hugs & Kisses." Blissoo and The Wavys served as the masterminds behind the production of all tracks, with JISOO collaborating on the lyrics for all four songs alongside Jordan Roman and a stellar lineup of co-writers. Earlier, the K-pop sensation had hinted that the album's distinctive title is a delightful blend symbolizing "a montage of love."
JISOO embarked on her solo journey in 2023 with the singles "FLOWER" and "All Eyes on Me," but "AMORTAGE" marks her first comprehensive project outside BLACKPINK, following in the footsteps of her fellow members LISA, JENNIE, and ROSÉ who have already ventured into solo endeavors. As a member of BLACKPINK, she has etched her name on the Billboard Hot 100 with nine songs and made history as the third South Korean act to claim the top spot on the Billboard 200 with their sophomore album, "Born Pink." In 2023, BLACKPINK created yet another milestone by becoming the first Korean act to headline the prestigious Coachella festival.
"AMORTAGE" also signifies JISOO's inaugural project since signing a global label deal with Warner Records for her solo ventures in January.
