Joe Keery, the actor who brings Steve Harrington to life in the hit series "Stranger Things," played an unconventional role at his friend's wedding as the officiant in a quirky outfit. Last month, Keery captured headlines after a viral video surfaced of him conducting a wedding ceremony clad in his iconic Scoops Ahoy costume.

During the season five premiere of "Stranger Things" in Los Angeles, his co-star Maya Hawke couldn't help but inquire about his choice of attire. "You officiated a wedding in the Scoops Ahoy outfit?" she asked with a hint of amusement. Keery chuckled, "It was a Halloween wedding for my friends, Veronica and Matt. Everyone was dressed up, but the picture only captures them in their wedding gowns and me in the Scoops Ahoy costume."
Hawke then pressed further, inquiring if the bride and groom had specifically requested he don the character's garb. "It was her request," he admitted, adding that the costume he wore was the actual one from the show. When Hawke asked if the costume still fit, Keery replied with a wry smile, "It was a little...it felt a bit different."
The fifth and final season of "Stranger Things" will see Hawkins struggling to come to terms with the chaos wrought by the Rifts. The group must reunite to track down Vecna, who vanished after his last attack. The series will be released in three volumes, with the first part premiering on November 26, followed by the Christmas special and concluding with a New Year's episode.
