Chrissy Teigen and her spouse, John Legend, have recently embarked on a decision to relocate to London, amid growing concerns over the ravaging wildfires plaguing Los Angeles. The illustrious Hollywood duo, who currently call Los Angeles their home, have disclosed their desire to reside in a "chillier clime."
During an interview with The Sun, John, who shares parenthood with Chrissy over four cherubic children, expressed that his family and he "adore" life in London. "We spent our last Christmas here, and we were also here two or three Christmases prior," revealed the musician, who further deliberated on the potential of bidding farewell to their opulent $17.5 million Beverly Hills abode.
John elaborated, "We prefer colder locales. The festive spirit of Christmas just doesn't resonate with us in sunny Los Angeles." The 46-year-old artist continued, "New York and London are two cities that we seriously contemplate making our permanent address. We are avid walkers and these cities cater perfectly to our lifestyle."
Earlier this year, John confessed that following the devastating wildfires, he and Chrissy were contemplating a definitive exit from Los Angeles. The Eaton and Palisades Fires, which erupted on January 7, decimated nearly 17,000 structures and claimed at least 29 lives. The celebrity couple, like many other high-profile residents, were compelled to evacuate their home and sought refuge in a luxury hotel with their four children.
However, the musician confessed that the area now bears a "collective scar," prompting the couple to reevaluate their living arrangements, with New York emerging as a viable option.
Meanwhile, in a conversation with The Wall Street Journal, John elaborated, "Chrissy and I have often mused about returning to New York, a city we once called home. It's a possibility we'll seriously consider, especially once our youngest ones reach a more independent age."
