John Stamos is grieving the loss of his dear friend, whose 70th birthday he recently celebrated. The Full House alum shared cherished memories of their decades-long friendship, including the last photo they took together. In a heartfelt Instagram tribute on May 17, John shared the final shot of himself, his wife Caitlin McHugh, Bob, and Bob's widow Kelly Rizzo posing for a dinner by the ocean. He simply captioned it with "Last Pic."
"We used to throw each other great birthday parties," the 62-year-old actor, who starred as Uncle Jesse alongside Bob's Danny Tanner in the ABC sitcom from 1987 to 1995, wrote in the caption. "Your 70th today would've been epic! I miss you and love you."

John also included a series of videos and photos that showcased their friendship. There was a clip of his close friend singing, a selfie of the pair during an outing, Bob playing the drums, them posing with Rihanna, Bob bowling in a robe, and the two performing onstage together.
The Grandfathered actor previously shared a glimpse into their peaceful evening, which would eventually become their final night together before Bob, 65, died from a fall that caused blunt head trauma at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Orlando, Fla., in January 2022.
"That was the last night that I saw him," he explained on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in October 2023. "You go to dinner and you never think it's going to be the last time you see them."
"He was everything that I wanted Bob to be," John recalled. "He was calm and he listened and he was so sweet. We were there with these two girls and we looked at each other like, 'God. What did we do to get these beautiful wives?' It was just such a beautiful night."
The Secrets of Eden star emphasized that losing a loved one often reprioritizes what really matters. "You're always in a hurry in life, I've got to go do this, I've got to do that," he said. "When something like that happens, you want to remember everything. What did we eat? What did we do? We ordered some cake and had some coffee. We stayed longer than we normally would have."
John shared a gentle reminder with the viewers, adding, "If you have the chance, if you're with someone you love, someone you care about: Stay a little longer."
