JoJo Siwa's performance at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, for Black Friday on November 28th, was a last-minute triumph after a grueling battle with severe abdominal pain. Just hours before stepping onto the stage, the "Karma" singer found herself hospitalized due to the unrelenting discomfort that had plagued her days leading up to the show.

In a TikTok video posted on November 29th, JoJo shared her distress: "Every time I've danced in the last couple of days or even just walked—anything—my stomach would really, really hurt. I didn't know why, but it passed, and I thought maybe it was that time of the month or just a cramp. But come morning of my performance, the discomfort returned with a vengeance."
The 22-year-old's misery escalated to a point where even taking a bath to alleviate her pain made things "100 times worse." "I knew I had to get out immediately," she recalled, "because I was starting to black out and felt like I was going to throw up."
After JoJo's mother, Jessalynn Siwa, called paramedics and helped her get dressed, the Dance Moms alum arrived at the hospital, where she told doctors she would follow their directives—while noting her imminent performance engagement. Fortunately, she was able to perform as planned, and a subsequent ultrasound revealed the cause of her misfortune: "One of my ovaries had a cyst that burst and was bleeding into my stomach," she explained. "That was what was causing the excruciating pain."
Despite telling her followers that she was "not 100 percent yet," JoJo shared that her doctors advised the problem "should stop on its own," adding that she had a follow-up appointment scheduled for the following week. "The good news is we know what it is, and I think that brought a lot of peace of mind to me," she continued. "Now I know what the pain is, and so I know to take a second. It'll settle and it'll calm down."
