Hailee Steinfeld has a unique way of tapping into her husband, Josh Allen's, quirks. The Buffalo Bills quarterback revealed on the May 20 episode of the Centered on Buffalo podcast that one particular quirk of his wife irritates him – and his response to it is priceless.
"If I have something in my beard or mustache," Josh told Eric Wood, "and she tries to reach for it, I always bark and snap like a protective dog." This hilarious reaction, he explained, stems from his childhood memories of his father, who would growl whenever his siblings or he touched his facial hair.

Despite this annoyance for Hailee, the NFL star couldn't help but admit that giving his wife a playful nip always gets a reaction. "Every time I do that, she's got me every single time," he said. "I can't resist. It's like a reflex; I have to do it."
When asked if he had any pet peeves towards Hailee, Josh took the easy way out with a joke. "Absolutely nothing," he said, which was met with a "Well done" from Eric.
This isn't the first time the couple has shared insights into their relationship. Hailee, 29, recently gave fans a glimpse into how they celebrated Josh's first birthday since becoming a dad.
"I've been thinking a lot about Josh's 30th birthday," she wrote in a May 22 post to her Substack Beau Society. "Officially, it was yesterday, but we're celebrating through the weekend! This is his first birthday as a dad (!!), which means we get to spend it with our little lady."
The NFL star couldn't have imagined a better scenario. Prior to his daughter's arrival, he shared his excitement for fatherhood during a Jan. 29 Buffalo Bills press conference.
"I'm very much looking forward to becoming a dad with my wife," he said. "It's something that I will take with great pride, and we'll have to figure things out just like anything else."
"Being a dad is the most important thing I'll ever be in my life," Hailee continued. "I love being a football player and a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, but I'm really looking forward to this new chapter."
