Karen Gillan has opened up about how embracing motherhood has transformed her into a master multitasker, a skill that's proving invaluable in her thriving career. The 37-year-old Scottish actress, who welcomed her baby girl Clementine into the world last December alongside her husband, Nick Kocher, shared that her newfound role as a mother has spurred her to expand her creative horizons.

Karen revealed that she penned an entire "horror script" while her little one drifted off to sleep. Cradling her slumbering baby, the Doctor Who star even managed to craft a TV pilot. "I wrote a pilot for television in that daze because I hadn't quite figured out how to transfer the baby into the crib yet, so it was all about contact naps," she confessed with a laugh.

Gillan admitted that she was at a loss for how to occupy herself during those precious, yet fleeting, moments of putting her baby to sleep. "So, I thought, 'What can I do right now to pass the time? I know, I'll create something!'" recounted the Guardians of the Galaxy actress. She continued, "I was trying to type it out, first on my phone, and then I was like, 'I'll just hold the idea in my head and flesh it out once the baby isn't nestled against me anymore.'"

Meanwhile, Karen also touched upon the script without divulging too many details. According to her, "It's probably going to be the biggest endeavor of my life, and I can't really spill the beans just yet, but it's in the horror realm. It's going to be the toughest challenge I've ever taken on," as reported by the Daily Mail.

Gillan was last seen gracing the screen in Mike Flanagan's The Life of Chuck, sharing the spotlight with Tom Hiddleston and Mark Hamill.
