BTS's Jungkook was thrust into an "appalling" ordeal merely 24 hours after his discharge from South Korea's mandatory military service. While basking in the adoration of fans is a routine part of any celebrity's existence, occasionally, this admiration veers dangerously off course. On Wednesday, June 11th, just a single day following his long-awaited release from his compulsory duties, a BTS-obsessed fan reportedly attempted to infiltrate the singer's residence.
According to law enforcement officials, a Chinese woman in her thirties traveled to South Korea specifically to witness the BTS stars' military discharge. Security footage captured her in the act of trying to gain entry to Jungkook's apartment by punching in a series of random numbers into the combination lock. Fortunately, authorities stepped in promptly and apprehended her for trespassing, as reported by the BBC.
At present, it remains uncertain whether the woman will face formal charges or legal ramifications. Nevertheless, the incident has sparked an uproar among BTS fans online, with numerous individuals denouncing such extreme behavior.
One furious fan posted on X (formerly Twitter), "ISTG!!! I wish the worst for all of BTS's stalkers!!! I'm relieved the police arrested this nutcase!!!," punctuating the message with an array of red angry emojis. Another wrote, "These individuals desperately need serious mental health assistance. This is precisely why no one should encourage or tolerate fans crossing boundaries." A third user added, "I'm a gentle person…but I yearn to punch this individual so hard they end up on Mars." Another outraged fan exclaimed, "I'm speechless! He hadn't even been home for 24 hours, and a stalker was already trying to break in! I'm so enraged, I could kill that bitch."
Although it remains unverified whether Jungkook was present in his home during the attempted break-in, this incident has cast a dark shadow over what should have been a joyous and serene homecoming for the youngest member of the septet.
