The verdict is in: Anthony Norman didn't know he was being pranked. The subject of Jury Duty's second season, Company Retreat, has put an end to online speculation that he discovered the faux documentary was fictitious during filming. "I didn't figure it out," Anthony told E! News in an exclusive interview. "If I had figured it out, I would have tried to play into it, but I'm not an actor by any means, so I would have messed it up."

While season one of Jury Duty featured Ronald Gladden devoting himself to a fake court case alongside a cast of actors, including James Marsden, season two centered on Anthony, who believed he had been hired as a temporary worker to manage the annual company retreat of the family-owned business Rockin' Grandma's Hot Sauce—with his colleagues secretly played by actors.
Despite experiencing a wealth of shenanigans from his castmates, the 25-year-old's ignorance didn't waver—even when his mom voiced some concerns. "[I had a] phone conversation with my mom very early on just explaining to her the things that were going on there," he continued. "And she was just like, 'Something's not right, right? Something's off, right?' So, looking back, I should have listened to my mom and asked more questions."
But unlike Ronald—who previously detailed that production would plan uneventful days to divert his suspicions—Anthony said he never suspected he was part of a mockumentary. "There were a couple moments where I was like, 'This is boring,'" he explained. "But it didn't lead me down any road." Plus, Anthony wasn't prone to skepticism because he was in the dark about Jury Duty's first season. "At the end of [filming], they showed me a picture of Ronald," he shared. "He looked very familiar, but I didn't know where he was from."
As for if Anthony would take another temp job after experiencing the bogus company retreat, he said, "Absolutely."
