Justin Bieber Details "Gnarly" Injury That Made It Painful to "Talk, Laugh"

Justin Bieber found himself a bit too daring on wheels. The "Sorry" singer proved his speed demon status with his electric skateboard, but the stunt left him with some painful injuries after a "gnarly" fall. "My rib hurts so fucking bad, bro," Justin shared during his Nov. 13 Twitch livestream. "That shit, bro, is hurting me bad. I'm trying to play it cool, but this shit is fucking with me."

He continued, "Chat, I fucking fell on my side on that Onewheel and landed on my hip. So, even singing, laughing, everything hurts." Despite the pain, the 31-year-old powered through his nearly hour-long rehearsal ahead of the 2026 Coachella Music Festival. After performing with the live band during his four-hour live stream, he sat on the couch and said, "Bro, that fall the other day?"

Justin, who shares son Jack Blues Bieber, 14 months, with wife Hailey Bieber, held his ribs and added, "It hurts to laugh, talk." Nonetheless, he hit all the right notes during the performance and even treated fans to songs from his album Purpose, including "What Do You Mean" and "Love Yourself," in honor of its 10th anniversary.

For the Grammy winner, taking the stage at Coachella in April marks his first major concert since he canceled his 2022 world tour to focus on his health after being diagnosed with a neurological condition. "Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, where my face was partly paralyzed," he announced on Instagram in September. "As a result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North America leg of the Justice Tour."

Although he initially tried to move forward with his European leg a few months prior, the back-to-back performances took a major toll on him. "After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now," he added. "So I'm going to take a break from touring for the time being. I'm going to be okay, but I need time to rest and get better."

While Justin decided to end his tour early due to health concerns, it was an incredibly difficult decision to make. "This is pretty serious as you can see," he explained. "I wish this wasn't the case but obviously my body is telling me I have to slow down. I hope you guys understand and I'll be using this time to just rest and relax and get back to 100% so I can do what I was born to do."
