Justin Bieber opens up about online hate breaking his confidence

Justin Bieber has confessed to feeling a palpable trepidation when being openly vulnerable on the internet, due to the cruel and unrelenting nature of online comments. Despite his 31 years and the numerous times he has shared his emotional side with his fans, the singer still finds himself deeply affected by the hateful messages that often circulate in cyberspace.

During a recent Twitch session, Justin opened up about his struggles with online criticism, stating that "going on Twitch is like walking into a minefield; people who feel inadequate project their insecurities and then they unleash a barrage of mean-spirited comments." He continued, "It's already difficult enough to be vulnerable, and then you have to read all this stuff."

The "Sorry" singer further elaborated on how these comments made him question himself. "People would say things like 'Justin is not as exuberant anymore. He will never be his exuberant self again. He's lost his charisma.' I'd think, 'What? I just played basketball last night, I'm just tired.'" He added, "I start to spiral into my own head, wondering 'Did I lose my charisma? My exuberance?'" It's a bitter pill to swallow when you have a million people saying the nicest things and then one comment sticks out like a sore thumb."

Last month, the "Swag" singer made headlines again after joking about his mother Pattie Mallette's heartfelt post praying for his "healing." He replied, "The only thing I need healing from is my rolled pinky toe from playing ping pong." Despite the constant scrutiny and attention, Justin has found solace in his faith, sharing that he wouldn't be able to get through the day without God's love.
