Kaitlyn Bristowe has issued a heartfelt plea for prayers. The former Bachelorette shared the devastating news on Instagram on August 30th that her beloved stepfather, Rob, has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Alongside a series of cherished photos capturing precious moments shared between her and her stepdad, Kaitlyn penned, "Eight months ago, I asked for your prayers for my stepdad, Rob, without revealing the reason. He had been diagnosed with cancer and was about to undergo surgery to remove it."

Revealing that, at that time, the surgery had seemingly been successful in eradicating all traces of the disease, Kaitlyn disclosed the heart-wrenching twist that a follow-up scan had shown the cancer had spread to his stomach. "Now, he is valiantly battling an incurable stage 4 cancer," she continued. "Our family is utterly devastated. I hold onto hope that he will defy the odds because he is a tenacious warrior, fueled by an unwavering passion for life. Yet, I profoundly believe in the transformative power of prayer, manifestation, and love. Please, send all of these his way."
