Kanye West to reunite with famous rapper for new music

Twenty years ago, Kanye West unleashed a track titled "Crack Music," which was originally slated to feature The Game's verses but was left unrecorded due to an unexpected exit by the rapper. Now, in a full-circle moment, The Game is reuniting with Ye to create a new version of the song, aptly named "Crack Music 2," for his debut Gangsta Grillz mixtape alongside DJ Drama.

"It's called 'Crack Music 2,'" he shares on Real 92.3 L.A.'s The Cruz Show. "Ye called me into the studio and I rolled up. He wanted me to lay down a verse and get on the hook, but I had some finely crafted stories in the car that I couldn't resist, so I said, 'That's that crack music, n-gga!' and I left."

But in response to fan demand, the Compton rapper adds, "But the fans always said, 'Man, you should have put a verse on 'Crack Music.' So we did it again."

The track is part of his debut on the Gangsta Grillz mixtape titled Every Movie Needs a Trailer. Produced by Mike & Keys, it's been described as "good" by The Game himself. "It's my first time doing a Gangsta Grillz," he says, adding that he and DJ Drama have been talking about it for years. "We recorded it in just two days. 19 songs from scratch."

Joining The Game on the mixtape are Ye, Mozzy, and Jeremih, whose release date was announced as November 28 by The Game. However, despite the announcement, the mixtape did not drop on that date, and its exact release is still unclear. What is certain is that this mixtape serves as a launching pad for his highly anticipated album The Documentary 3, which will be released in 2026.
