Cara recalls the pre-production read-through before the commencement of season 5, when the cast was united as one. "It was a remarkable moment. We embarked on a journey that would span an entire year—a feat unparalleled in television. We all thought, 'This is going to be a long haul.' Yet, I felt like time flew by in a blink."

Fast forwarding to the final day of filming, Cara recounts, "Everyone was present, the families were there, and I was in the penultimate setup for the show's grand finale." She continues, "It was truly a poignant moment. Remembering my first day as Karen in season 1, my first scene, and my first take—it was a full circle moment for me at the end. All that remained was to deliver my lines while holding back tears."

Cara expresses her delight that Karen finally got off the couch and into a battle in episode four, fulfilling her wish for the character to "get off the couch and into a fight." At the end of Vol. 1, Karen and her husband Ted were both injured and recovering in the hospital after a demogorgon attacked their home and claimed their youngest daughter Holly.

Stranger Things returns to Netflix with Volume 2 on December 25th, and the final installment will be unveiled on December 31st.
