Kate McKinnon, celebrated far and wide for her side-splitting stints on *Saturday Night Live*, has snagged a recurring guest role in the highly anticipated third season of *Percy Jackson and the Olympians*. This small-screen adaptation springs from the pages of Rick Riordan's beloved book series of the same name, featuring a stellar cast led by Walker Scobell (as Percy Jackson), Leah Jeffries (portraying Annabeth Chase), and Aryan Simhadri (stepping into the shoes of Grover Underwood).

According to a report by *Variety*, McKinnon is set to dazzle audiences as Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty. The official character synopsis teases, "Aphrodite possesses the uncanny ability to shift her appearance, adapting to the viewer's perception. However, she insists that Percy Jackson must acknowledge the profound power and significance of love before she consents to lend him her aid on his perilous quest."
Joining McKinnon in this mythological adventure are Dafne Keen, cast as the goddess Artemis—Apollo's twin sister; Sarah Chaudry, who takes on the role of Zoë Nightshade, Artemis's devoted lieutenant and the first-ever immortal Hunter; and Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, who will portray the demigod siblings Leo and Bianca di Angelo.
The series is the brainchild of Riordan himself, collaborating with Jonathan E. Steinberg, who serves as the showrunner alongside Dan Shotz. Currently, production for the third season is in full swing in Vancouver. Meanwhile, fans can look forward to the premiere of the second season, based on the *Sea of Monsters* novel, set to debut on December 10th on Disney+.
