Kayla Nicole is confronting her past with unwavering honesty. Following a user on X resurrecting screenshots of her alleged past bigoted posts, she issued a heartfelt apology on Instagram. "I want to take a moment to sincerely apologize for the hurtful tweets I posted so many years ago," Kayla wrote in a Nov. 13 Instagram Story. "Seeing them resurface last week has been devastating, and reading them now, I'm ashamed that I ever thought or spoke in those ways. They were ignorant, hurtful, and completely wrong."

Emphasizing that she "would never use those words or express those kinds of views," especially through her own experiences with online harassment, Kayla continued, "I've seen firsthand how cruel and harmful online hate can be, and I would never want to add to that world of pain in any form." She took full responsibility for her past actions and expressed genuine remorse to anyone she may have hurt.
While Kayla acknowledged that she cannot change her past actions, she is determined to move forward by spreading love. "My heart, values, and perspective are completely rooted in empathy, love, and respect for others," she explained. "I will continue to show my actions who I've become and what I stand for today."
Indeed, Kayla, 34, has firsthand experienced the vulnerability of having an online presence, experiencing hate through the internet, especially now that her ex is engaged to pop superstar Taylor Swift. "I would be lying if I said that level of hate and online chaos doesn't impact me," she admitted during an episode of Unapologetically Angel last year. "You could go to my most recent post and it'll be people debating why I'm worthless and how I'll never be a talented person." She added, "I think there's something about that level of fame that attracts crazy people, and it's unfortunate because I've never done anything to warrant that kind of backlash."
