Kelly Clarkson is set to reignite her daytime magic once more. According to an NBC press release, the seventh season of her beloved daytime talk show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show," will make its triumphant return on September 29th, with production kicking off in New York City on September 8th. Dedicating its premiere week to honoring the heroes who rescued campers during the devastating July floods in Central Texas, the show promises to shine a spotlight on these incredible women and men.
Furthermore, the seventh season boasts an impressive lineup of guests, featuring the likes of Kate Hudson, Sterling K. Brown, Carrie Preston, Adam Scott, Benicio Del Toro, James Blunt, Sydney Sweeney, the legendary Doobie Brothers, and many more. Adding to the excitement, Kelly's iconic "Kellyoke" segment will make a welcome return, with the "American Idol" winner serenading audiences with her unique renditions of some of music's greatest hits, accompanied by her house band Y'all.
The new season of "The Kelly Clarkson Show" arrives amidst a challenging period in the Grammy winner's personal life. On August 7th, her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shared two children, River (11) and Remington, passed away after a courageous battle with melanoma. He was 48 years old. Just a day before his passing was confirmed, Kelly heartbreakingly announced the cancellation of the remaining dates of her Studio Sessions Las Vegas residency.
"While I normally keep my personal life private," the "American Idol" alumnus penned on Instagram on August 6th, "this past year, my children's father has been ill, and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them." She added, "I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows, and I deeply appreciate your understanding, kindness, and grace."
As Kelly embarks on her return to the show, she continues to juggle multiple responsibilities, once again taking her seat in the iconic red chair as a judge for the 29th season of "The Voice." The "Miss Independent" singer, who previously served as a judge for seasons 14 through 21 and 23, will be joined by fellow returning judges Adam Levine and John Legend for the eagerly anticipated new series dubbed "The Voice: Battle of Champions," set to premiere in the spring of 2026.
