Kelsea Ballerini has finally put an end to the people-pleasing act. During her performance of "Penthouse" in Sydney, Australia on December 5th, a spectator shouted "Team Morgan"—a reference to her ex-husband Morgan Evans—which prompted a swift and unapologetic response from the "This Feeling" singer.
With a smile and a nod to the cheering crowd, Kelsea replied, "F--k off," as seen in a TikTok video of the incident. She then flashed a thumbs-up gesture into the crowd, followed by a middle finger, before resuming her performance.

Hours later, Kelsea had more to say about the matter, resharing a clip of the exchange on her Instagram Stories with a warning about future interruptions. "Respectfully, if anyone yells anything disrespectful to anyone during this song again, it will no longer be on the setlist," she wrote in her December 6th post. "Please let this be a song that matters to people and not a place to insert yourself into a world that doesn't exist and was never yours to begin with."
"Team everyone's happy or bust," she concluded. "Please."
Last month, Kelsea also spoke out after another song of hers drew strong reactions from fans on social media. When some listeners speculated that "Emerald City"—from her new EP Mount Pleasant—was about her comparing herself to ex-boyfriend Chase Stokes's Outer Banks costar and former girlfriend Madelyn Cline, Kelsea clarified the primary purpose of her songwriting.
"I write songs to relate to," she told fans while discussing the track at her Mount Pleasant Experience pop-up concert in Nashville on November 17th, according to People. "Not to make a point on the internet." Similarly, Chase—whom Kelsea dated for three years before their breakup in September—weighed in when the rumors appeared in the comment section of one of Kelsea's TikTok videos. "These comments are f--king weird," he wrote. "Grow up."
