On Tuesday, April 22, Khloé Kardashian and Scott Disick stole the spotlight at Hulu's inaugural Get Real House event, where Khloé, the host of "Khloé in Wonder Land," unveiled a groundbreaking new reality series that's set to captivate audiences.
With a gleam in her eye, she enthused, "It's thrillingly fresh and exceptionally promising. We're eagerly anticipating its development." This upcoming series, titled "Calabasas Behind the Gates," will offer viewers an intimate glimpse into the lives of the Kardashians' closest confidants and neighbors, as shared by Khloé, who is a mother to True Thompson, 7, and Tatum Thompson, 2, with her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson.
Rob Mills, the executive vice president at Disney (Hulu's parent company), was also in attendance to elaborate on the plot. He curiosly remarked, We are all captivated by the enigmatic occurrences concealed behind the gates of Calabasas, left wondering: Who are these intriguing personalities that inhabit the Kardashians' extended, mesmerizing circle? He continued, "That's why we're developing a show, tentatively titled 'Calabasas Behind the Gates.'"
Although Khloé, 40, was thrilled to be part of the big reveal, she kept tight-lipped about her relatives' potential involvement. Similarly, Disick, 41, who shares three children with Khloé's sister Kourtney Kardashian Barker, didn't disclose whether he'd be joining the spin-off.
However, Khloé, who is also the CEO of Khloud Protein Popcorn, did express her desire to see her brother Rob Kardashian return to reality TV on the family's current Hulu series, "The Kardashians." She confidently stated, "I genuinely hope so. I have unwavering faith and trust in Rob."
The reclusive 38-year-old recently made a rare appearance in his sister Kim Kardashian's Easter photos, along with his nieces and nephews—Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, Psalm, 5, True, and Tatum. The heartwarming family snapshots were a delightful sight.
Khloé also shared some fascinating insights during Tuesday's event. The Good American founder revealed that she and her family receive equal pay for their shows and have creative control over their episodes' content. She joked, "We usually cut out the more vain moments," although she recently mentioned on her "Call Her Daddy" podcast that her sister Kourtney, 46, takes full advantage of this privilege.
Recalling one of her more cringe-worthy reality TV moments, Khloé couldn't help but laugh. "I cringe every time I see myself naked in a bath of candy," she said, referring to a 2010 episode of In an episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," she endeavored to film a seductive video for her then-spouse, Lamar Odom.She playfully added, "I can't believe I let Malika talk me into that!" referring to her lifelong best friend Malika Haqq, who was also featured in the episode.
