Khloé Kardashian Reveals Strict Rule on Kids Having Sleepovers

Published: Apr 18 2025

Don't be deceived by her reality TV persona; when it comes to parenting, Khloé Kardashian, 40, is "remarkably stringent." In April 2018, she welcomed her firstborn, True, whose name was inspired by her grandmother, Mary Jo "M.J." Houghton. Fast forward to July 2022, she expanded her family with NBA star Tristan Thompson, welcoming their bundle of joy, Tatum. During a recent installment of her podcast, "Khloé in Wonder Land," Kardashian unveiled the rationale behind her stringent no-sleepover rule for her kids, rooted deeply in her desire to ensure their safety.

"I impose a strict no-sleepover policy for my children, anywhere," Kardashian confessed to UFC president Dana White. "These are different times, so I can't bring myself to let my daughter or my two-and-a-half-year-old son stay overnight anywhere. I'm overly cautious; I've seen too many crime documentaries on Dateline."

Kardashian then delved into her anxieties about her children growing up and eventually leaving the nest. "I'm not sure how I'll cope with being an empty nester," she admitted. "I might shave my head in a fit of madness or adopt a zoo's worth of animals." She joked, adding, "Perhaps I'm subtly conditioning my kids to think living next to their mom is normal, so when I'm older, they'll simply see it as their duty."

Fortunately for the "The Kardashians" star, her little ones aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
