Kim Kardashian Addresses Criticism of Daughter North West's Fake Tattoos, Piercings

Kim Kardashian is dropping hints that she's unfazed by her 12-year-old daughter North West's latest makeover, which includes fake face tattoos, a faux septum piercing, and blue contact lenses. The mother of four, who shares North with ex-husband Kanye West, insists that the preteen's head-turning look is anything but radical.

After a TikTok video on October 22 allegedly sparked "worries" from fans about North's new look, Kim, 45, commented from the official account she shares with her firstborn, writing, "This is such a non-issue."

Indeed, the SKIMS founder has actively encouraged North to explore her own style, regardless of outside opinions. "I'm like, 'Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is,'" Kim told Alex Cooper on the October 15 episode of Call Her Daddy. "It makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her."

North, who Kim pointed out "dresses like a tomboy most of the time," has developed a strong sense of self as a result. "She'll be like, 'Mom, I saw this and I don't really care if someone says they don't like my blue hair or my this or that,'" she explained. "And she's really confident and is like, 'I probably wouldn't be hanging out with those people.'"

Kim's parenting style has evidently helped her build a close bond with North, who shared a heartwarming tribute to her mom for her recent birthday. "Happy birthday to my mom," she wrote on her TikTok Stories on October 21. "I love you so much and I hope you have the best birthday ever. Thank you for always being there for me and supporting me!"
