With a diagnosis of a brain aneurysm, Kim Kardashian is navigating her new reality with a renewed focus on maintaining her composure. The reality star has been advised by her physician to steer clear of stressful situations, as the swollen blood vessel is at risk of rupturing.
"I reached out to Keith Black, the brain surgeon, and sent him a picture of my condition," Kim shared with her sister Kourtney Kardashian during the November 20th episode of 'The Kardashians'. "I asked, 'Can I wait? What makes it rupture?' They simply said, 'Just stress.'" This response was not one that the 45-year-old was eager to hear, especially given her already overwhelming schedule that included law school studies and her on-screen role as an attorney on 'All's Fair'.

"I'm like, 'OK, I'm taking the bar exam. I'm studying 10 hours a day,'" she explained, noting that her stress levels had escalated to "a new level, to the point of hives now." With four children depending on her, Kim emphasized the importance of maintaining her sanity. "I have to be sane," she added. "It's stressful out there, but this aneurysm can't be stressed."
Understandably, Kourtney expressed concern about Kim's overextending herself. "I'm definitely worried about Kim," the 46-year-old said in a confessional. "She has so much going on with work and her four kids that I don't want her to have an aneurysm." This was why Kourtney couldn't fathom Kim's decision to pursue a career in law and follow in the footsteps of their late father Robert Kardashian Sr.
"I'm not shaming or judging," Kourtney emphasized to her younger sister, "but isn't there a time to do it later once your kids are more grown and they don't need you as much?" However, for Kim, this was the perfect time to study law. "I love that my kids see me go to school," she explained in her own confessional. "When I drop them off at school, they see me go to school. I enjoy that."
Moreover, the SKIMS mogul admitted to being "addicted to studying". "I love educating myself," she added. "I just wouldn't feel like myself if I was always learning and trying new things."
New episodes of 'The Kardashians' air every Thursday on Hulu.
