On Wednesday, actor Kim Soo-hyun's legal representative announced the filing of a fresh lawsuit against a YouTuber named Kim Se-ui, the proprietor of Hoverlab, who had leveled unfounded allegations of underage dating against the actor, accusing him of stalking. LKB & Partners, the actor's legal firm, clarified that the legal action was aimed at halting Kim Se-ui's persistent dissemination of "baseless" accusations and holding him accountable for his actions.
This latest legal maneuver came on the heels of a poignant press conference held by Kim Soo-hyun two days prior, where tears streamed down his face as he vehemently denied the allegations that he had been romantically involved with the late actress Kim Sae-ron when she was still a minor. During the conference, he cast doubt on the authenticity of the photos and KakaoTalk messages presented as evidence to support these allegations, asserting that they were fabricated.
This lawsuit follows earlier legal complaints lodged by Kim Soo-hyun against the YouTuber and the bereaved family of the late actress for releasing a compromising photo of him without trousers and issuing threats. Earlier this week, he had also sought damages amounting to 12 billion won (US$8.14 million).
