Kristin Cavallari is spilling the tea on a sun-drenched moment in her past. Reflecting on her decision to reunite with her former Laguna Beach: The Real O.C. costars—including Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, and more—to mark 20 years since the original cast said goodbye to the series, Kristin shared, "I filmed the Laguna Beach reunion, which was awesome," she said in the Oct. 21 episode of her Let's Be Honest podcast. "I don't even know what I'm allowed to say or not say. It was very therapeutic. But if I'm being completely honest, I didn't actually want to do it."
While the 38-year-old mother of three (Camden, 13; Jaxon, 11; and Saylor, 9) with ex-husband Jay Cutler didn't divulge the reason behind her initial reluctance, she's "really, really happy" she booked a trip back to her former hometown. "It was such a great experience," she continued, "and just a nice way to end the Laguna Beach chapter of my life. But that's going to come out in the spring, sometime in April."
Fans will have to wait for their millennial nostalgia fix, but Kristin has already confirmed one surprising detail about the reunion: she and Lauren are now on good terms. (After all, the former costars were rivals on all three seasons of the MTV series and its spin-off The Hills.) To prove they buried their decades-long hatchet, Kristin posted a sweet photo of them arm-in-arm on Instagram, captioning the Oct. 11 post, "Everyone can put away their team Lauren and team Kristin shirts now."
This isn't the first time the Uncommon James founder has reunited with the Laguna Beach cast. In fact, Kristin invited show alums Lala Olsen, Jason Wahler, Alex Murrel, Talan Torriero, and Jess Revans on her Honestly Cavallari tour earlier this summer—but their meetup didn't go as smoothly as she planned. "Being on stage with Laguna, it did feel chaotic," she reflected on her podcast in June. "This is my first live podcast tour. I've never done this before, so I'm very hard on myself. Anyways, I realized I'm kind of more sensitive than I thought."
