Stassie Karanikolaou is absolutely thriving, sweetheart. A decade after Kylie Jenner's bestie first went under the knife for a Brazilian butt lift (BBL), she's now opened up about her recent decision to undergo reduction surgery. "I'm chilling at the surgery recovery center, recouping from this ass reduction," Stassie revealed in an October 7th TikTok video, lounging comfortably as she munched on chicken tenders and French fries. "Just popped my pain meds, and they're starting to kick in, so I'm feeling pretty cozy right now."
"From what I can see, this butt is looking fabulous—lifted, smaller, just the way I wanted," she continued with a beaming smile. "I'm so stoked to fully heal and finally feel at ease in my own skin."
Stassie also took a moment to address why she chose to share her revision surgery journey so openly as she recovers. "I really wish I had someone to show me the not-so-glamorous side of plastic surgery when I was younger," the 28-year-old influencer confessed in an October 8th video. "This is something I've actually been trying to reduce and correct for years. Truth be told, it's only made me more insecure and made me feel incredibly inauthentic."
"That said, I firmly believe everyone should have the freedom to do whatever they want with their bodies—whatever choice they make," she went on. "I just feel like this was a mistake I made when I was really young, and I'm sharing my experience now in hopes that it might help someone else out there."
The social media star reminded her followers, "Do what makes YOU feel comfortable, not what you think you're supposed to do."
This isn't Stassie's first rodeo when it comes to expressing regret over her initial BBL. In fact, she's undergone multiple procedures in recent times to reduce its size. "It's something I deeply regret and have been actively working to fix for so long," she shared on her Better Half podcast back in May. "I literally have another surgery lined up in a few weeks to try and shrink it down even more."
"Looking back, I had no idea what I was getting myself into," she admitted candidly. "I just wish the younger version of me hadn't felt the way I did. I felt this immense pressure from the world we live in and the trends of the time. Don't ever surgically alter your body just to fit into a trend, because trends are fleeting. Just remember that."
