LeAnn Rimes has unequivocally denied the buzz that she might be joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Reports surfaced on Wednesday suggesting that the 43-year-old singer was in negotiations to be a part of season 16 of RHOBH. TV personalities Rachel Lindsay and Chelsea Stark-Jones also weighed in on the rumors during their podcast, Morally Corrupt Bravo Show.
"The rumor is that LeAnn Rimes' name is being touted for Beverly Hills," Rachel exclaimed. "As a fellow Dallas girl, I'll take that! Sign her up!" Chelsea then added that LeAnn appears "open to sharing" her life publicly.
After the clip of the podcast went viral on social media, LeAnn addressed the rumors directly in the comments section. "omg, dying! SCHOOL QUEEN ?? no, no…. no housewives for me," said the hitmaker behind "Blue." "Playing Dixie on 911 Nashville is drama enough for me."
This clarification from LeAnn comes just days after she had to cancel several of her concerts due to "severe" health issues. "After a diagnosis of COVID leading to severe laryngitis, I'm so sorry to have to reschedule next week's shows," she wrote on her Instagram Story on May 1. "A visit to my doctor for a scope of my vocal cords has confirmed the news and I wanted to tell you as soon as I could," added the songstress behind "I Need You."
