Lisa Rinna is re-igniting the spotlight on her iconic hair, but this time, it's not on her head. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star graced the Elton John AIDS Foundation's 2026 Oscars viewing party on March 15 in a couture gown made of a staggering 11 pounds of dark brown human hair. Wrapped in locks that crisscrossed to create a strapless bodice and cascaded into a flowing, floor-length skirt, the reality star was left in awe as the dress was revealed to her.

"Oh my god, are you kidding me? Look at how gorgeous," she exclaimed in a March 15 video on her Instagram Story. "That's gonna be the best hair day of my life. I've never had so much hair. It's amazing. My iconic hair, from my head to my toes."
Accompanied by her husband Harry Hamlin, the 62-year-old certainly made a statement with her look, which deserved an award in itself. She completed her ensemble with a sparkling diamond necklace and her signature voluminous pixie haircut.
Designer Christian Cowan shared insight into what inspired the head-turning ensemble, which, like most hairstyles, was styled with hairspray, texturizing spray, and more. "With the TRESemmé A-List Hair Couture Dress, I wanted to put hair front and center," he explained in a March 15 press release. "The hair is not the finishing touch of this look – it is the look."
The gown, which took a team of 16 people and 152 hours to complete, was also a love letter to the work that goes on behind the scenes ahead of the award shows, with the help of the hair company. As he noted, "This project was about celebrating that relationship and showing how hair artistry and fashion design can come together in a really unexpected way."
For Christian, Lisa was the perfect person to bring the gown to life on the red carpet. "I wanted to celebrate the beauty of Lisa, she's a tour de force," he told People ahead of the award show. "And she's so known for her iconic hair, so it felt fun to play with that."
