Upon waking, she indulges in a hearty breakfast of fluffy scrambled eggs, savory chicken sausage, and a delightful twist on hash browns made from cauliflower. For lunch, she opts for a refreshing shredded chicken Thai salad or wraps made with crisp lettuce, filled with tuna or thinly sliced chicken breast. And as the sun begins to set, she savors a comforting dinner of turkey meatloaf, accompanied by creamy mashed cauliflower and crisp green beans, ensuring she wraps up her meal before 5 p.m. due to her battle with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). "My body craves time to digest before hitting the hay," Lizzo elaborated to Women’s Health, "to prevent that unwelcome acid reflux."

Throughout her day, the 37-year-old satisfies her snack cravings with a tandem of Greek yogurt and a medley of berries sweetened with a touch of honey, all while adhering to a single cup of coffee per day, enhanced with vanilla protein. "Balance is key," she emphasized, acknowledging that she doesn't deprive herself of indulgent treats like chicken tenders, crab legs, or the occasional donut when the urge strikes. "To me, that's the essence of true wellness," she reflected.

Lizzo also delved into how she's reshaped her relationship with food. "There were instances where I overate to the point of discomfort," she recounted. "Post-binge, I'd feel so stuffed I could barely breathe, yet I'd hide my distress. Food was my emotional outlet; sadness, anxiety, stress, or a hectic workload would trigger my incessant snacking."

Today, her approach to snacking has undergone a transformation. "I'll dive into a bag of BarkThins, and by the fourth piece, I'll call it quits, placing the bag back on the table," she shared. "I'll remind myself, 'Melissa, you've had your fill.' I might sneak in one more for good measure, then chase it down with gallons of water." She added, "It's a harmonious balance; allowing yourself a taste without succumbing to overindulgence. I'm immensely proud of myself for conquering that battle."
