The former couple first ignited romance rumors in December 2022 when they were photographed enjoying a cozy dinner date in Los Angeles. They later officially confirmed their relationship in January 2023, when the *Black Mirror* actor shared a heartfelt Instagram post featuring a photo of himself planting a kiss on Lori's cheek to celebrate her birthday. He added a red heart emoji and penned the caption, “Happy Birthday Nunu.”

However, their love story took a turn after less than a year together. The duo cited their hectic schedules as the reason for their split. "We are at a point in our lives where our individual paths demand our full attention and commitment," Lori and Damson told *The Hollywood Reporter* in a joint statement in November 2023. "We part ways as friends, with nothing but love and respect for each other and the time we shared together."

Before her relationship with Damson, Lori had a year-long romance with actor Michael B. Jordan before they called it quits in June 2022. At the time, Lori—whose father is actor and comedian Steve Harvey—revealed that she was taking a moment to embrace the single life. "I feel like this year, in particular, I'm really stepping into my own, coming into my own as a woman," she told E! News. "I feel like I'm officially kind of getting grown now, really learning myself." Nevertheless, Lori maintained that "love is the foundation to everything."
