Lori Loughlin Still 'Extremely Angry' with Ex Mossimo Giannulli as They Move Ahead with Divorce: Sources

Lori Loughlin harbors a deep resentment towards her ex-husband, Mossimo Giannulli, according to a source close to the matter. "Lori is still extremely angry with him," the source reveals, speaking of the estranged couple whose split PEOPLE confirmed in October. Since their parting ways, Loughlin, 61, and Giannulli, 62, have led "separate lives," according to a second source.

Despite Loughlin's feelings, a third insider notes that fashion designer Giannulli holds the actress in high esteem: "He thinks she's a lovely person and an incredible mom," the insider says, adding, "He wants everything resolved quietly."

Last October, PEOPLE confirmed that the couple were calling it quits after nearly three decades of marriage. Loughlin's representative stated at the time that the two were "taking a break from their marriage," adding that "there are no legal proceedings at this time."

Not long after the announcement, another source revealed that their marriage never fully recovered from the strain of being embroiled in the College Admissions scandal. In May 2020, Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud after being accused of paying $500,000 to a college consultant who falsely designated their daughters Olivia Jade Giannulli and Isabella Rose Giannulli as recruits to the University of Southern California's crew team (neither Olivia nor Isabella ever participated in the sport). Loughlin and Giannulli served two and five months in prison, respectively.

"Things have never been the same after weathering the college admission fallout and the prison sentences together," the source said, adding that the two were "moving on with separate priorities."

"Lori feels betrayed," the source added. "They're in very different places right now, and it's unlikely that they'll find their way back together."

Loughlin isn't the only one still upset with Giannulli. In late October, an insider said that all of her friends are also furious with him. "She has a good group of friends. A lot of her friends are also divorced and have gone through the same thing she currently is," the source told PEOPLE. "They're rallying behind her, and they don't like him."

PEOPLE reached out to Giannulli and a Loughlin representative for comment but did not immediately receive a response. On Oct. 20, Loughlin's former Full House costar John Stamos didn't hold back when getting candid about her breakup with Giannulli on the Good Guys podcast.

"She put up with a lot over the years of this guy," Stamos said. "For a girl who has lived her life really well, a good person, a good mother, a good wife — I know all this for a fact — to be thrown into now this separation and exploding, blowing up her family this way... I just hate to see her go through this. I really do."
