In an exclusive chat with *People* magazine, the *Kill Bill: Vol. 1* icon shared her enthusiasm about her time on set, stating, "I had an absolute blast—it was incredibly fun. There’s always something special about being part of a project that people are genuinely excited about, especially one with such a strong connection to the world of fashion."
Teasing what audiences can expect from the film, she added, "Fashion is such a multifaceted world. It can be deeply political, yet also wonderfully whimsical. To me, that’s what makes a movie like this so engaging—it has a classic charm that’s far more nuanced than you might initially think."
According to *Variety*, the sequel will delve into Miranda Priestly’s (Streep) journey as she grapples with the decline of traditional magazine publishing, all while facing off against Blunt’s character—now a formidable executive for a luxury conglomerate whose advertising budget Priestly desperately needs.
Joining Liu in the new cast are Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, and Broadway luminaries Helen J. Shen and Conrad Ricamora.
