Pat McGrath, the renowned makeup artist, assures that Taylor Swift glows with an unparalleled brilliance, surpassing even the glow of a cigarette's end in real life. It's a testament to the enigmatic allure of the Grammy winner that even McGrath, who has collaborated with her on numerous occasions, including the "Bejeweled" music video, finds it difficult to encapsulate the essence of their partnership. "There are too many words," McGrath gushed during an exclusive interview with E! News on the red carpet of the Glamour Women of the Year awards on November 4. "She's not only inspiring but also possesses a profound understanding of makeup, beauty, and everything in between."

The 54-year-old, who has also worked with luminaries such as Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, and Oprah, marveled at the sight of Taylor wielding her magic on the set of the "Bejeweled" video. "The fact that she can not only create glamour but also direct and edit, all at the same time—and light—is truly extraordinary," she effused. "That's something else."

While Taylor's portrayal is undoubtedly at the pinnacle of her proverbial accomplishments, McGrath highlighted one of her best qualities: her "approachability." "She hung out with my team and me," McGrath gushed. "Very down to Earth. That's the truth."

Of course, diamonds shine best when they are in harmony, and McGrath is no less extraordinary than Taylor herself. After all, she was named one of Glamour's 2025 honorees for their Women of the Year awards, and told E! News that the offer left her speechless. "For once, I had nothing to say," admitted the founder of Pat McGrath Labs. "Then I was happy and joyful and what an honor. Isn't that incredible? So, I'm very happy."

While Taylor has undoubtedly proven her enduring bejeweled charm, it was McGrath who brought the pure vision to life in her 2022 music video. "The moment I heard the title, 'Bejeweled,' I had visions of scintillating, shimmering, and sparkling," McGrath explained to E! News at the time. "With all that inspiration and Taylor's brief, I had a million ideas of how we could use makeup to communicate her directorial vision and storytelling through makeup artistry."
