Chanel West Coast, who graced the panel of MTV's 'Ridiculousness' from 2011 to 2023, expressed her disbelief at the show's demise in an interview with TMZ published on November 4th. "It's sad. It's the end of an era," she stated, her voice tinged with emotion. "I truly felt like the world needed a show like that right now. It makes people laugh, it makes people happy, and that's what we need more of. It was not the best time for a show like that to go away."

However, the 37-year-old (real name Chelsea Chanel Dudley) admitted that the program's DNA had changed after her departure. "I don't want to say I was shocked," she noted. "It was a bit different since I left the show."
As a mother to daughter Bowie Breeze, 3, with boyfriend Dom Fenison, Chanel said goodbye to 'Ridiculousness' after 30 seasons alongside Rob Dyrdek and Sterling "Steelo" Brim, opting to pursue independent projects. Following her exit, she starred in the MTV docuseries 'The West Coast Hustle' in 2024 and is currently working on several new projects. "I've got a lot of new things going on," she shared. "So when old things come out, new things come in. All good things have to come to an end."
MTV's decision to cancel 'Ridiculousness' was part of the network's shift towards a more curated slate of offerings with fresh formats, different creative voices, and refreshed programming, sources previously told E! News. While production of original episodes has ceased, previously-produced new episodes will continue to air on the channel through 2026, and all 46 seasons of the show will continue to air on MTV, with select seasons available on Paramount+.
