Maluma made it abundantly clear that he would not condone fans who overlooked the welfare of their children, a stance he underscored when he temporarily paused his concert at Mexico City's Palacio de los Deportes. In a heartfelt moment captured on video that quickly went viral, the Colombian artist addressed a mother who had brought her toddler to the show, completely unprotected from the loud sounds.

"With all due respect," Maluma inquired gently yet firmly, "how old is your child?" When the mother replied that the child was one year old, Maluma expressed his deep concern. "Do you honestly believe exposing a one-year-old to such deafening decibels is a good idea? Where else do you encounter sounds this loud? This baby has no understanding of what's happening around here. Please, next time, ensure you protect their ears or take similar precautions. Seriously, it's crucial. It's your duty. You're swinging them around like a toy, but trust me, they don't want to be here. I say this with all the love and respect, but as a father myself, I would never dream of bringing them to a concert like this. Be more considerate in the future."

Currently, Maluma is enthralling audiences with his '+Pretty +Dirty World Tour,' which kicked off in Spain in March. The Mexican segment of his tour began on August 6th in Mexico City and will conclude in Guadalajara on August 16th, wrapping up with a final performance in El Salvador on August 23rd.

Earlier this year, Maluma, along with Karol G, J Balvin, Feid, and other collaborators, faced rebuke from Colombia's high court over their controversial song "+57." The court ruled that the song violated children's rights due to lyrics that sexualized minors. Released in November of the previous year, "+57" featured numerous prominent Colombian artists and swiftly garnered intense backlash, particularly for a verse repeated by Maluma and Feid, which translated to: "A bombshell since she was 14/When she steps into the club, her energy is palpable." Following the uproar surrounding the original version, the controversial line in "+57" was revised to "a bombshell since she was 18," reflecting a change in tone and respect for younger listeners.
