Recently, Marc Maron unleashed a scathing critique aimed at fellow comics Dave Chappelle and Bill Maher, lambasting their political leanings. During his guest appearance on the latest episode of the "Pod Saves America" podcast, the seasoned American stand-up comedian took Netflix to task for championing comedians who engage in anti-woke humor.

"Fascism thrives on commerce," declared the 61-year-old, his voice tinged with disdain. Maron elaborated further, "Netflix, in its quest to tap into any algorithm-pleasing trend, risks morphing into 'Reich-flix' before you can say Jack Robinson. I once joked about this very transformation."

He continued, painting a vivid picture: "The turning point came when Netflix faced backlash from the transgender community over Dave's content. After a few days of deliberation, they realized this community's impact on their profits was negligible and swiftly severed ties. This, my friends, is the business model of fascism in action."

Elsewhere in the interview, podcast host Jon Lovett ventured to broach the subject of Bill Maher, remarking, "I just can't do it justice." Maron responded with a wry smile, "I've always found something off-putting about his tone." He went on to highlight a telling aspect: "Maher's frantic quest for relevance seems to alter his perspective, lending an air of desperation to his entire endeavor. It's as if he's willing to do anything to stay in the limelight."

Additionally, Maron addressed the cancellation of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," commenting on how "the bar for content consumption has plummeted, with social media algorithms dictating that we now settle for mere clips."
