North West has been taking fashion cues from her aunt, Kylie Jenner, and the transformation is undeniable. At just 12 years old, she stunned in a bold new look, sporting blue hair reminiscent of her aunt's "King Kylie" era, in a recent TikTok video. Lip-synching along to Destroy Loney’s "If Looks Could Kill," she shared the spotlight with her mom, Kim Kardashian, and two of her friends. Meanwhile, Kim, who also shares Saint West, 9, Chicago West, 7, and Psalm West, 5, with her ex-husband Kanye West, rocked a chic black slip dress adorned with intricate sheer lace details, with a matching lace bra peeking out seductively beneath.
Later, the mother-daughter duo was spotted in coordinating outfits during a dinner outing at the prestigious Pierluigi Restaurant in Rome. This trip comes just a month after Kim addressed decade-old rumors that suggested she had left her eldest daughter behind in a Paris hotel, as shown in a viral video from 2014. In the video, Kim could be seen rushing back to retrieve her then-toddler.
"I wanted to show off the look before holding her," Kim wrote on her Instagram Stories on July 11, explaining that her daughter's outfit didn't match hers at the time. "Bc her outfit didn't match mine!" She added emphatically, "I didn't forget her!!!!" Kim had previously attempted to quell speculation that she had abandoned North shortly after the incident, clarifying, "I went to the car to make sure the car seat was in because the day before we had a car seat issue," she wrote in October 2024 on X. "Do u guys really think a 1-year-old would be inside the lobby by herself? Oh wait, she was waiting to check out lol."
Since then, Kim has joked about how impossible it has become to overlook North, given her outspoken nature. "She's a big critiquer," Kim told Vogue about her eldest daughter's fashion input at the 2025 Met Gala. "But it's pretty good, you know, her critiquing." While the preteen enjoys experimenting with her personal style, she prefers to maintain control over how others perceive her in the public eye.
"I like taking pictures of myself, but I don’t like when paparazzi do," North explained to her mother during an interview for Interview magazine, which featured her on the cover of its Fall 2024 issue. "When I just woke up and there's so much paparazzi, I'm like, 'Yo, I’m going to sue you.' If I’m ready, if I’m not tired, if my outfit's good, I’m like, 'Okay, I could take a picture.'"
