Over nine months after welcoming her baby boy with her husband, Tom Ackerley, the Barbie sensation is savoring every moment of her newfound journey as a parent. "It's amusing; when you attempt to describe this to someone who already has children, there's no need because they inherently understand," Margot shared with Entertainment Tonight in a video released on August 20. "And for those who don't, well, it might just sound rather mundane." She further exclaimed about motherhood, "It's absolutely the best."
While Margot has kept details about her son, including his name, closely guarded, she has embraced the title of 'mama' with all her heart. Earlier this year, during a break in her native Australia, the 35-year-old, who tied the knot with Tom in 2016, was spotted donning a gold chain necklace inscribed with the word "mama."
Margot's pregnancy with her first child coincided with the phenomenal box office success of Barbie in 2023. Now, as she returns to the silver screen alongside Colin Farrell in A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, she recently joked, "That was the longest gap I've ever had between projects."
In a June interview with Vanity Fair, she revealed, "I anticipated that stepping onto the Big Bold set on the first day would be more daunting, but it wasn't. Everything about this film felt instantly comforting." Speaking of the film's romantic storyline, she continued, "If audiences can just experience a fraction of the magic we felt while making this movie, they will have an extraordinary cinematic journey. Making this film was truly one of the most enchanting experiences of my life."
As for her costar, Colin's parenting journey has been nothing short of miraculous. "It means the world to me," the Penguin actor, who is father to James, 21, and Henry, 15, shared during their joint interview with Entertainment Tonight. "They are the most vital aspect of my life, and have been since the moment they came into this world." He added about his children, "They have taught me so much. Whoever I am today, it is largely due to their influence."
