Margot Robbie Reveals Her Office Has One Fantastic Nod to Barbie

Margot Robbie, the Barbie who delights in repurposing cinematic relics, exhibited her creative flair once again when designing the sleek new Los Angeles office space for her production company, LuckyChap. During the renovation, she repurposed a few distinctive office chairs from a blockbuster set, destined to become the assistants' desk chairs in her new digs.

"Those chairs you see in the Mattel CEO's office in the Barbie movie, where the Mattel executives are seated in pink, were actually brought here," revealed the triple Oscar nominee in the May 27th episode of Architectural Digest's 'Open Door' series. "We had them reupholstered, considering their exorbitant cost and my curiosity about their fate post-production. I thought, 'What's going to happen to these chairs?'"

Margot's designer, Scarlett Hessian, transformed the $3,195 Saarinen armchairs, once occupied by Will Ferrell and his fictional "Mattel execs" in the film, from their original blush pink hue to a new, natural-toned orange-and-white checkered fabric.

As for the remaining inspiration behind the LuckyChap offices, shared by Margot, her husband Tom Ackerley, and their business partner Josey McNamara, Scarlett noted that the trio shunned opulence. "They didn't want their awards on display," Scarlett shared in a separate interview with Architectural Digest on May 27th. "So, I've tucked them away among the bookshelves. You might casually stumble upon a BAFTA."

Indeed, Josey mentioned to the publication that he had recently found a Golden Globe in the printer room, an intentional placement acknowledged by Margot. "We were too embarrassed to showcase our awards anywhere else in the office," she continued in 'Open Door'. "We hide them among the books; it's a humble yet satisfying brag."

Moreover, Margot has been open about cherishing a low-profile life with her "normal" husband Tom, with whom she shares a six-month-old son. "I am so lucky," Margot told E! News last January. "He prefers being behind the camera and isn't swayed by all this fame and glory."
