Megan Thee Stallion, the Grammy-winning rapper, is bidding an early farewell to the Moulin Rouge! musical. She will perform her final show as Zidler at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on Friday, May 1, marking a significant milestone in her role as the first female performer to don the iconic character's stage persona.

"It's been a true honor to be a part of Moulin Rouge! and to have met so many incredible individuals within this theater community," Megan said in a statement. "Your dedication, stamina, work ethic, and time and effort have been nothing short of inspiring. Every single person associated with Moulin Rouge! has pushed me to be a better entertainer. I am so grateful for the cast and crew who made this experience so meaningful. You are truly some of the kindest people I've ever encountered! To all my Hotties who have supported me on this incredible journey, thank you for being there for me."

A replacement performer for Megan's remaining dates from May 2-17 has not yet been announced. It's worth noting that Megan's departure comes amidst some personal and professional challenges during the show's run. In April, she had to exit a performance mid-show and was later diagnosed with extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction, and low metabolic levels. She returned to the stage two days later, acknowledging that the illness served as a "real wake-up call."

"I've been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty," she said. "My body finally said 'enough.' It honestly scared me. I thought I was going to faint on stage. I really tried to push through my performance, but I just couldn't. Hotties, I want to be real with you because you mean everything to me, and I hate letting you down."

In addition to her health struggles, Megan also announced the end of her relationship with NBA star Klay Thompson over the weekend, citing cheating and trust issues.

"Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house... got 'cold feet'," she wrote in an Instagram post. "Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season, now you don’t know if you can be 'monogamous???' Bitch, I need a REAL break after this one... bye y'all."

In a more formal statement shared with People, Megan said, "I've made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there's no real path forward. I'm taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity."

Despite these challenges, Megan remains committed to her fans and promises to continue striving for excellence in her future endeavors.
