Meghan Markle is venturing further into the realm of media entrepreneurship with the addition of a podcast to her ever-expanding array of endeavors. Hot on the heels of the premiere of her Netflix series "With Love, Meghan" and the inception of her lifestyle brand As ever, she is re-entering the podcasting scene with "Confessions of a Female Founder," a production helmed by Lemonada Media.
Debuting on April 8th with a season spanning eight episodes, Meghan's latest podcast delves into her entrepreneurial journey while engaging in intimate dialogues with fellow female founders, including some of her renowned friends, about the triumphs and tribulations of branding.
"I'm thrilled to unveil yet another project I've been passionately working on: 'Confessions of a Female Founder,' my new podcast with @lemonadamedia!" Meghan exclaimed on Instagram. "I've had heartfelt conversations with incredible women who have transformed dreams into tangible realities and nurtured small ideas into wildly successful ventures," she continued. "They're baring their souls, sharing their wisdom, strategies (and stumbles), and allowing me to benefit from their expertise as I build my own business, As ever. It's been incredibly enlightening, inspiring...and joyful! (Because what's the joy in adventure without a sprinkle of fun?)"
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Meghan opened up about the hurdles she faced in launching her brand. "There were numerous twists and turns—even with the name," she said, referring to the trademark challenges she encountered. "I was navigating it all in real-time." "I'm grateful to everyone who supported me, granted me the leniency to make mistakes and find my way, and offered forgiveness along the journey. It's a steep learning curve," she added.
In a statement dated March 13th, Meghan stated, "I'm immensely proud of what we're creating and the candid conversations I'm privileged to have with other female founders as we unpack the intricate path of building a business." "Through my friendships and relationships, we're able to delve into the kinds of insights everyone yearns for when establishing their own venture, insights I'm also tapping into as I build my business with As ever," she continued.
Jessica Cordova Kramer, CEO and co-founder of Lemonada, added, "As female founders ourselves, Steph and I are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Meghan in creating the exact podcast we wished for when we started Lemonada."
Stephanie Wittels Wachs, Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of Lemonada, furthered, "Meghan is a warm and inviting presence, and that shines through in her interviews. She fosters a cozy atmosphere where her guests feel comfortable sharing fascinating personal anecdotes and opening up in ways they perhaps haven't before in public. Listeners can anticipate conversations that are far more relaxed and relatable than those typically heard in boardrooms."
This podcast marks Meghan's first project since announcing her partnership with Lemonada Media in February 2024, following her and her husband Prince Harry's departure from Spotify.
Meghan's "Archetypes" podcast previously garnered the People's Choice Award for Pop Podcast of 2022, beating out popular shows such as "Call Her Daddy" and "Armchair Expert." Additionally, it received a Gracie Award in March 2024, which honors exceptional contributions by women in media.
