Jordan, one of Hollywood's most captivating leading men, appears to be a natural fit for Kosinski's cinematic vision. Both artists are renowned for their ability to balance blockbuster entertainment with grounded, emotional storytelling. Jordan's impressive career spans from his breakout roles in Fruitvale Station and Just Mercy to massive hits like Black Panther and the Creed franchise, which he also directed. Most recently, he led the horror epic Sinners, portraying twin brothers Smoke and Stack, a film that became the highest-grossing original horror movie of all time, earning $366 million worldwide after its April 18 release.

Jordan is not slowing down; he's currently directing, producing, and starring in The Thomas Crown Affair under his own production company. The Miami Vice reboot revisits the stylish and gritty world of 1980s South Florida, following undercover detectives in a city where glamour and corruption collide. Inspired by the pilot episode and first season of the original TV series, which revolutionized pop culture, fashion, and filmmaking during its time, the project is being produced by Dylan Clark and Kosinski with a script written by Eric Warren Singer and Dan Gilroy. Filming is expected to commence next year.

In a recent conversation with The New York Magazine, Jordan shared how Denzel Washington's guidance shaped his approach to fame and career choices. The veteran actor once advised him, "Why would they pay to see you on a weekend if they see you all week for free?"—a lesson Jordan has taken to heart. He explains that he stays mostly offline and avoids discussing his personal life publicly to maintain a sense of mystery and demand as a movie star. This approach has clearly paid off; following his transition from television to film, Jordan has solidified his status as a major box office draw. Reflecting on his early career, the 38-year-old actor admitted, "I was really, really unsure of what my career was going to be [12 years ago]. Am I a TV actor? Where am I going? And I was like, 'Man, I just want an independent movie.'" He added, "I can show what I can do, and I just need to know if I could carry a movie or not, if I could be a lead." That chance came when he first met director Ryan Coogler for Fruitvale Station, a partnership that marked the beginning of a defining chapter in his career and continues to propel him toward projects like Miami Vice.
